WELCOME!!! I am very excited to be your Algebra 1 teacher for this school year. I know last year was difficult and different. This year is a step toward a "regular" school experience. The first couple of weeks can be difficult as we try to get into the routine of waking up, going to school for a full day in person, and then going back home. We will work together to build this routine and make transitioning back into in person instruction as easily as possible.
For my class, you will need to join my Google Classroom and my Remind. Remind is a texting service that keeps all phone numbers anonymous. It provides the students the opportunity to contact me directly if they have any questions or need assistance with the assignments. You will also be reviewing my class rules and expectations and complete a Google Form with your contact information. Also, you will complete a pre-assessment to determine how much you remember of middle school math.
All my assignments will be posted on Google Classroom. Parents should add their email addresses to the contact form so I may invite you to my Google Classroom. This will enable you to receive weekly summaries of your student's progress in my classroom.
